Katie Anne the Soccer Player!

KA started soccer this week!  She's on a Clash soccer team, and she's doing an awesome job so far.  It's her first time playing a team sport and her first time playing soccer on a team.  We've played soccer a lot in the backyard, and she's played with Granddad as well.  She's always been a natural at kicking around a soccer ball in the backyard, so I know she'll be great on the team!  Here are a few pictures of her first game - for more pictures, click here to view the Facebook album.

SJ's First Birthday Party!

We can't believe it - our sweet, silly, little SJ is one already! 

 This year with him has totally flown by, but in a way it seems like he's always been in our family.  He fits in so well!  

To celebrate his special day, we had a Dr. Seuss themed bash at our house.  Lots of friends and family came out to say Happy Birthday to our special little boy!  We had an early morning party for SJ with a brunch menu with lots of Dr. Seuss inspired food.  I loved decorating and making special things for SJ's party, and my mom was a huge huge help - she made almost all the food for us!  We definitely couldn't have done it without Gigi's help! Pinterest definitely inspired us to great lots of crafts and foods for this fun party.  Everything looked cute and colorful for SJ's celebration!

It was a fun party, and SJ loved every minute of it - he was laughing, playing, eating, and smiling the entire morning.  He got lots of great gifts from his family and friends, and everyone seemed to have a super time!  Here are lots of pictures of our precious SJ's first birthday party!

Four Generations

Earlier this summer, my grandmother, my mom, Katie Anne, and I had our portraits made together at Darrah Portrait Studio.  It was wonderful to have beautiful pictures of all four generations of women in our family. Katie Anne is holding a little pitcher that belonged to my great-grandmother, too.

 Of course, we also had to have some pictures made of the lovely Katie Anne all by herself, too!
