I'm watching last week's Top Chef for about the fourth time tonight now that KA's in bed, and I'm totally crushing on Eric Ripert. (Don't worry... Saunders knows. I do this every time Ripert's on Top Chef, and he's been on the last three seasons.)
This is a very weird celebrity crush, I know. Eric Ripert is 49, French, a celebrity chef in New York City (he owns restaurants all over, actually, but his flagship restaurant is Le Bernardin in NYC) and married. I don't know why I like him so much, but I do. Love the hair, love the accent, love the chef whites... love it all.
Well, tonight as I'm watching the show and analyzing Eric Ripert and my love for him, I think: He looks a little bit like Saunders. Maybe it's the hairline? The full lips? Shape of the face? Strong jawline? Ripert has a bigger nose than Saunders, and of course the eye color is very different, but I thought that they do favor each other. So, I ran their faces through a face comparison program I'd used on the internet, and guess what?! They have a 67% "in common" rating on the comparison meter! That's pretty signficant, considering MyHeritage considers anyone over 60% match to be your "celebrity twin".
So, since Saunders is going grey quickly (and his grand- father, who he favors, went totally grey/white pretty young)... there's a chance I could be married to an Eric Ripert twin in just a few short years! Nice... now, all Saunders needs to learn is classic French cooking techniques and that smooth accent... ;)

Katie, this is so funny! As I looked at the third picture in your post, I was thinking to myself: "Wow, he really favors Saunders... I wonder if she has discovered this." And as a read on, sure enough, you revealed your own discovery! You should enroll you and Saunders in some cooking classes, let KA stay with the g'rents, and practice on turning your hub into a regular take-home chef (who I tend to gravitate toward)!
(And, of course, a nice French accent never hurt anybody.)
