Carder's First Birthday Party

After we took Saunders to the airport this morning - he's gone to LSU for banking school for two weeks again this year - we headed to Carder Brock's first birthday party!  We had a great time, and Little Miss Carder was super cute!

Talia's Birthday Party

Today, I took Katie Anne to her friend Talia's birthday party.  It was a Fancy Nancy-themed party at a local dance studio, and the girls did lots of fun crafts, dances, and even a fashion show!  Katie Anne had a blast!  

I didn't take my big camera with me - I took my old point-and-shoot, and I can tell I'm spoiled now that I've got the big girl camera because I couldn't believe the quality of these pictures!  Here are a few of the cutest ones from the party anyway...

Katie Anne's Pre-K Graduation

Today was Katie Anne's PreK graduation and end-of-the-year party!  

They had the party outside, and it was - obviously from the squinting - a sunny, beautiful day!  They had a luau theme for their celebration, and the kids all looked so cute.  Katie Anne got a certificate and memory book from her teachers Mrs. Carter and Mrs. Bolen.  They had lots of wonderful things to say about her - especially about how much she's grown up this year, how much her behavior has improved, and what a great helper she is to her teachers!

After the certificates were handed out, the kids ate their special snacks and had a dance party!

We're so glad that it worked out with Mommy and Daddy's schedules - we could both be there to see the fun and be a part of the end-of-the-year festivities with KA!

We're so grateful for her fabulous experience at the PreK.  Katie Anne really loved this school year and isn't excited about leaving.  She is so at-home at the PreK, and she's a bit nervous about kindergarten.  Last week, she asked me, "Can't I just stay at the PreK next year and be Mrs. Carter and Mrs. Bolen's friends?!?"  Even though she hates to leave her wonderful preK, we know she's ready for kindergarten and will do wonderfully there, too!

Maverick's 2nd Birthday

This weekend, we headed over to Natalie and Brandon's house to celebrate Maverick's 2nd birthday.  The last two years have really flown by - we can't believe Maverick is already turning two!  He's really grown up into quite the little man in the last few months.  The kids loved hanging out and playing with Maverick, Emma, Lily, Bear, and the other kids that were there to celebrate with Maverick.  Here are some pictures from his cute Toy Story party!

Katie Anne's Birthday Party

Today, we celebrated Katie Anne's fifth birthday with a big party for friends and family!  

We waited until today because a lot of people were out of town over Spring Break, and the weekend following KA's birthday was Easter weekend.  Katie Anne had a hard time waiting for her "official" birthday party to arrive - but it was worth the wait!  She had a super time!

We held Katie Anne's party at Devil Rays Gym in Cartersville.  It's got a great big area for the kids to play with trampolines, three bouncy houses, slides, a foam pit, a climbing wall, and more!  We needed all that room because this was the first year that we've invited kids from Katie Anne's school in addition to all her outside-of-school friends.  We had a great turnout, and KA was thrilled to see so many of her favorite kids there to celebrate with her!  The kids had an amazing time running, jumping, and playing together!

Devil Rays also had a big party room for everyone.  We had lunch of pizza, chips, and fruit.  Then, it was time to celebrate with a giant cake!

Katie Anne had such an amazing birthday party at Devil Rays with everyone!  After we got home, Katie Anne opened all the gifts that everyone had brought for her.  

She got so many wonderful things, and she loved them all!  She was so excited about the Squinkies, Legos, crafts, puzzles, games, dolls, clothes, gift certificates, and all the amazing things her generous family and friends had shared with her!

It was such a special day for the birthday girl!  Katie Anne is sad to see the fifth birthday celebration fun come to an end - she's had a great two weeks of celebrating!  We have enjoyed seeing all her big smiles and hearing her infectious giggle while she's celebrated becoming a "big kid" now!  We love you, Katie Anne!
