Last weekend, we had a really fun and busy time celebrating Mother's Day! The good times started rolling on Saturday night - Katie Anne and I joined my mom's family at Red Lobster to celebrate Mother's Day with my grandmother, Mamaw. We had a big time eating and talking - but surprisingly in my family of photographers - no one took pictures! (Saunders had to miss out on the dinner as it was the first concert in the Century Bank Summer Concert series.)
On Mother's Day, we headed to the Atlanta Zoo with my family to celebrate Mother's Day with my mom. We spent the morning walking around and checking out all the animals - we had such a great time! Here are some pictures of our Mother's Day morning out...

For lunch, we'd planned on going to Chow Baby, but it was closed! Every other restaurant was a super long wait, so we just hit the IHOP on the way home from the zoo. It was really good - and we were really starving after all that walking! We gave Gigi her presents - a new Crockpot, a fish eye lens for her camera, and a gift certificate for a pedicure. Saunders and KA gave me my gift at lunch, too - a gift certificate for a one hour massage! We had sent flower bouquets to our grandmothers earlier in the week, and Saunders had picked out a bouquet to send to VJ, too.
That evening, we took Doc and VJ out to dinner at Longhorn's. We had a nice, long dinner and a great time visiting and chatting with them, too!
It was a wonderful Mother's Day!
