Happy Birthday, Saunders!

Today, we celebrated Saunders's Big 29th Birthday with our families!  (His birthday isn't actually until Thursday, but since Katie Anne and I will are flying out to Arizona on Friday morning, we celebrated this weekend.)

He started celebrating with the Georgia game on Saturday... his friend Ty invited him to go to the game with a group of guys.  This was definitely Saunders's idea of a good birthday weekend event!  He was really excited about attending the big UGA vs. LSU game.  Even though UGA lost to LSU in literally the last minute of the game, they still had a great time.

On Sunday, Katie Anne and I let him sleep in late, and then we all went to Doc and VJ's for lunch.  VJ grilled out a tasty steak for everyone, plus we enjoyed deviled eggs, potato salad, broccoli salad, rolls, and Saunders's favorite - punch bowl cake!  Saunders got lots of books, two magazines for his gun, and money from his parents, and we all had a fun time hanging out.  Katie Anne had a great time exploring the garden and talking Doc and VJ's ear off!

After we came home and let Katie Anne take a nap, we went out with my side of the family to P.F. Chang's.  My parents treated us to a delicious dinner there.  We had soup, crab wontons, Honey Chicken, Sesame Chicken, and mini desserts - Saunders tried red velvet cake, I had lemon pie, and Katie Anne had chocolate cake.  Then, Saunders opened his presents - he got a Wii Sports Resort game and three peripherals from KA and me, shirts and Gentleman Jack from Greg and Jillian, and a giant chocolate football and money from my parents.  We had a great time chatting and visiting, and Katie Anne loved trying to eat with chopsticks!

Here is a slideshow of just a few of the 129 pictures I took yesterday!
Happy happy birthday to you, Saunders!

Looks like it was a fun day for all of you. I love the pic of Katie Anne trying to use the chop sticks.
