On Saturday afternoon, we celebrated Hannah Kate's first birthday! Hannah is the daughter of our friends Matt and Mary Beth... Matt and Saunders played football together in high school, and Mary Beth and I taught fourth grade together. Hannah Kate is super cute, and she was so happy the whole party... she loved all the people singing to her, eating the cake, and opening the presents! Mary Beth is such a creative person, and she did tons of handmade things to carry out her theme of "The Hungry Caterpillar"... it was so precious! Katie Anne especially loved the party because it was at Dellinger Park, and she got to play on a new (to her) playground while we were there. Saunders played Mr. Mom and chased her all around, and they had a fun time together. I had a great time catching up with some of my elementary school friends that I hadn't gotten to see as much since I switched schools last year.Going down the slide so fast!
