Katie Anne's Christmas Program

Today, Katie Anne participated in her school's Christmas program and had her Christmas party. She had a fun time! The two's class was a little nervous singing and dancing in front of the crowd. Katie Anne spent the first song looking like a deer in headlights, but she recovered some by the second song- she was able to shake her jingle bell, move her feet, and smile for a second or two. Luckily, she didn't bust out crying like two of her classmates! Those poor kids had traumatic experiences. She had a much better time during the party, and she loved her chocolate cupcake icing! Katie Anne gave both of her teachers monogrammed pocketbooks (wonder where she could've gotten those?) and got a stuffed purple dog and a book from Ms. Amanda. It was a fun school party!

No, I did not intend for Katie Anne to look like she was a homeless child during the program. She had a Christmas dress that was hanging in her classroom at this time!

There's a little smile and a jingle bell shake!

Back in her classroom for her party... yes, I immediately put on her Christmas dress that poor Ms. Amanda was too rushed to put on before the program! I understand that she had 10 diapers to change between nap time and singing time, and holiday dresses weren't top priority, so that's okay. I'll live!

Mommy! No one else can hold me today!

Ahh! Much better, Mommy.

I don't think Granddad can hold me either, Mommy.
Giving Ms. Amanda her present.

Yummy cookie!

Katie Anne and Mia love that chocolate icing!

Showing Daddy her chocolate goatee!

Thanks for my present, Ms. Amanda!

Reading her new book in the middle of a party- that's our daughter!

I'm so glad that Handley isn't the only one that is so attached to her Mommy sometimes. Robby jokes that on somedays we have a "stage 5 clinger!" And just so you feel better, I totally would have been the mom, right along with you, that changed her daughter into her Christmas dress ASAP. She looked darling before and after the wardrobe change though.
