We bought this little Gingerbread House kit from the Walmart in Athens when we were there for the Ga-Ga Tech game a few weekends ago, and it is the best! For only $9.99, we got everything we needed, and the EZ Build tray even came with little slots to line everything up in to help it stand up. Usually, the kits don't give you nearly enough icing, but this had plenty- much to Katie Anne's disappointment, we actually threw some icing away!
She loved the whole project- we worked on it for almost an hour, and she was totally into it the whole time. She loved putting the candy on the house, but she would immediately say, "My eat it!", take it off, and stick it in her mouth! She also loved the icing, even though Saunders and I both tasted it and thought it tasted like paste! We've got lots of video (like 30 minutes of it!), but we took that with our real video camera, so I'm not going to load it online.
One funny part was that Katie Anne kept calling it a "ginger house". We guessed gingerbread was too hard for her to say. Then, when we were finished, she kept saying to our dog Ginger- "Look, Gingo, look! Gingo house!" So, I guess she thought we did all that work for Ginger!

Very cute! She did such a great job with the gingerbread house - I just can't get over how much older she's looking!
