This morning, Katie Anne and I went to Hannah's Birthday Party at Bounce 'N Beans. Hannah is the daughter of Saunders's first cousin Stephanie - so, she (and her brother Justin) are Katie Anne's second cousins. Hannah turned 6 on February 1. Saunders had to work this morning, so he didn't get to go to the party.
Katie Anne had a great time in the bouncy houses. We'd been here once before with Lily and Bear, and I could tell a big difference between her climbing skills between that time and this one. She's this close to being able to climb up the slides by herself. So, I still had to help her up all the slides myself - what a mommy workout! She can definitely go down by herself- little Miss Independent is adamant about getting no help! So, unfortunately that means no cute pictures of us sliding down together. VJ came to the party after we'd bounced for a little bit, and she got to help Katie Anne go up the biggest slide - she can testify that it is not easy to get yourself and little person up to the top! There were a lot of big kids there today, which really made me nervous with Katie Anne being the smallest one. Fortunately, she did fine and came out with only a little scratch on her nose.
After about an hour and a half of nonstop bouncing time, we took a break to eat cake and watch Hannah unwrap presents. We gave Hannah a cupcake making kit and a pizza making kit for kids- Katie Anne picked them out. She had a great time playing with Hannah and Justin, eating birthday cake and ice cream, and seeing VJ. Here are some pictures of the fun. Happy Birthday, Hannah!
