On Friday morning, we gathered up all our towels, sand toys, and some drinks and headed toward the beach! We dressed in layers because we didn't know what the situation would be like at the beach, but it was actually wonderful! I give the beach in November high marks... sunny and just warm enough that you are comfortable in your swimsuit, but not hot enough to exhaust you or make you sweat. The water is too cool to really swim in, but its fine for walking in the surf and playing in the edge of the waves. We relaxed, played in the water, chased seagulls, and built sand castles.
There was a pretty sandbar just a little bit off shore
We were brave enough to walk through the cold water to get there!
Katie Anne had a blast running around in the shallow waves on the sand bar. The water wasn't as cold because it was so shallow.

Chasing the seagulls
And here's a funny video of Katie Anne running down the seagulls...
... and busting it into the water! She did great and didn't cry at all. What a trooper!
