I decided to tie dye shirts with my first grade class for Field Day this year. However, I really didn't want to do the traditional dip-the-shirt-in-a-bucket thing, because I just knew it would be too much for the kids. I had seen a spray-and-tumble tie dye at Hobby Lobby a few months ago, and I thought I would give that a shot.
Before I tried it with a slew of six and seven-year-olds, I did a dry run on one two-year-old... Katie Anne. We tie dyed a shirt for her first to see how it would come out, and how kid-friendly the project was. She loved it, and the shirt turned out really cute. So, I did the project with my class on Monday. Now, we're all ready for Field Day!
Here are some pictures of the project...

very cool! I like the spray dye!
I love it! Make me one..........
I'll be honest, this has nothing to do with your latest post, but I saw the nice marketing piece for Black Oak, Inc. Quite impressive. If you go to www.blackoakam.com, under events calendar you will pictures of all 5 foursomes.
Thanks again!
you will *see - sorry for taking up so much space on your blog!
The spray is SUCH a great idea. We did the real thing at one of Stephanie Tustian's birthday parties in middle school, and they were so messy! Yours turned out super cute. I loved seeing the whole class's all lined up together!
